Scindia Kanya Vidyalaya, Campus, Gwalior

Spread over a sprawling 30 acres, the best attributes of the site are the greenery & natural environment with old & precious trees dotted all over the campus. Most of the old existing buildings at site, built gradually over the past hundred years or more were inherited from the royal family of the Scindias, and developed in varied architectural styles.

The challenge was to prepare a master plan which retained the natural environment, provided for the much needed extra facilities in keeping with the modern times, & unified the entire campus giving an identity to the school.

SSAs scheme for the campus proposes a cohesive built environment, using a contemporary architectural vocabulary, complementing the richness of the distinct Gwalior style of the Maharajas.

As a part of the first phase of development, two hostel buildings for 100 students each, and a dining hall for 400 has been already built.
