Aashray : A Luxury Villa, Delhi

Ravi Dhariwal was posted in Phillipines when he dreamt of having his own home in India and the idea of a ‘luxurious’ villa fascinated him. A beautiful 2.5 acre farm on the outskirts of Delhi, which he finally shortlisted for his dream house, came with a dilapidated pre -existing structure.

SSAs proposal provided a cohesive design which successfully integrated the new development with the old structure, albeit with a fresh facelift.

A small entrance lobby with stained glass skylights & a china mosaic dome forms the pivot between the ‘formal’ old house & the ‘informal’ new house. Most evenings & outdoor parties are spent in the central stepped courtyard which is wrapped on three sides by the house & a swimming pool on the fourth.
